Reflection

As a writer I feel that I have learned a lot. I've learned that in fact I do write better under pressure to meet a deadline; it's hard to be on my own because I tend to put it off until last minute. I also learned that I love writing essays, however, poems and short stories aren't my best. I like being able to choose what I write about, and that usually includes reading an article or book on real world issues and reflecting on that. My strengths when writing are my ability to use different literary devices to improve the picture of my piece, my A-B transitions, and being able to break down a mode of literature. My weaknesses include the conclusion to my essays, and being able to fully develop all of my ideas. Over the years, I feel like I have become such a strong writer and I think seventh grade really played a big role in this. Coming into eighth grade I scored in the ninety's on my September District Assessment and I feel like seventh grade did actually help me score so high. Overall, I love to write and I feel that once I go into high school I will be comfortable in my language arts class because of all that I learned here.
